LGBTQIA+ AGING: A SCOPE REVIEW OF BRAZILIAN PRODUCTIONS

Considering the aging projections of the global and national population, consequently, of the LGBTQIA+ population, this article aims to map the existing literature regarding Brazilian productions on the LGBTQIA+ population and aging. Therefore, a scoping review was carried out based on the JBI guidelines and the PRISMA-ScR protocol guidelines. The search was carried out in the CAPES and BDTD. In total, 186 references were selected. After analysis, meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 92 documents were excluded for being out of scope and 70 for repetition, totaling 14 documents for analysis. The analysis was carried out with the IRaMuTeQ software, using CHD, Correspondence Factor Analysis and Word Cloud. The analyzes were carried out with a significance level for the association of the word with the class of p ≤ 0.05. The results were organized into six classes that presented an organization based on two poles: sexual and social, highlighting that LGBTQIA+ aging is experienced in multiple ways, depending on the context and social subjectivity; there is a clear neglect of scientific productions regarding the social and sexual identity specificities of lesbian women; and a predominance of social stigmas and the invisibility of LGBTQIA+ elderly people in studies. It is concluded that Brazilian scientific production on the subject is still limited and fragmented, highlighting the need for more research that addresses the diversity of LGBTQIA+ aging experiences, with a particular focus on the identities of lesbian women and overcoming stigmas and social invisibility.
