Thermodynamics and Entropy in Resonance Language
This paper redefines entropy within the framework of Resonance Theory (R-theory). In classical thermodynamics, entropy is interpreted as disorder or the statistical number of microstates, yet this view leaves its physical meaning vague. R-theory offers a new foundation: entropy as the measurable loss of resonance coherence in the zero field. Order corresponds to phase-locked resonance nodes, while entropy growth reflects the progressive breakdown of synchronization. This reinterpretation links thermodynamics to cosmology, presenting the universe not as a system doomed to heat death but as an interplay between coherence and decoherence. The arrow of time emerges as resonance decay, with implications for physics, biology, and cosmic evolution. Entropy thus becomes a unifying concept connecting microscopic irreversibility, macroscopic time flow, and the structure of the cosmos.
