AROHI: Advanced Road Optimization & Harvesting Intelligence for Sustainable Smart Infrastructure
The AROHI (Advanced Road Optimization & Harvesting Intelligence) project introduces an innovative approach to transforming conventional roads into intelligent, energy-harvesting infrastructures. By integrating piezoelectric layers, electromagnetic induction coils, and nano-processed silica solar films within modular road structures, AROHI enables the generation of renewable electricity directly from vehicular movement and solar radiation. This harvested energy is utilized for dynamic wireless electric vehicle (EV) charging and surplus integration into the national grid, thereby reducing reliance on fossil fuels and advancing sustainable mobility. AROHI is further enhanced by TARAI (Taseen’s Advanced Road AI), a specialized computing framework that employs Markop-Chain—a blockchain-inspired architecture—for secure data management, predictive analytics, and real-time traffic optimization. The system demonstrates both technological and economic feasibility, with projected outputs exceeding 11.5 GWh per kilometer annually and a return-on-investment period of less than two years. Beyond energy and economics, AROHI contributes to climate action by reducing CO₂ emissions, supporting EV adoption, and creating smart-city infrastructures equipped for future autonomous mobility. This work aspires to bridge cutting-edge research with practical implementation, offering a holistic blueprint for intelligent transportation systems and sustainable urban development.
