Decision-making model for benefits of agile project management in residential buildings
This study proposes a decision-making model that integrates sustainability principles with agile project management (APM) to improve outcomes in residential building construction. Focusing on the Nigerian construction industry, the research evaluates APM’s advantages through a structured survey based on literature-identified benefits. Exploratory factor analysis was used to categorise these benefits, and partial least squares structural equation modelling was applied to validate the model. Results reveal four key benefit dimensions: innovation and quality enhancement, project and risk management, team dynamics and satisfaction, and cost and time efficiency. Among these, transparency-related benefits emerged as the most influential in APM adoption. The findings offer practical insights for decision-makers aiming to enhance sustainability and cost-effectiveness in residential construction projects.
