Hyper-Efficient Automated Fault Localization in Multi-Agent Robotic Systems via Dynamic Bayesian Network Inference and Reinforcement Learning
**Abstract:** The effective and rapid localization of faults within multi-agent robotic systems (MARS) is a critical challenge for ensuring system reliability and performance in dynamic environments. This paper introduces a novel framework leveraging Dynamic Bayesian Networks (DBNs) combined with Reinforcement Learning (RL) to achieve hyper-efficient automated fault localization. Our approach uniquely integrates dynamic state estimation within a DBN with an RL agent trained to actively probe and diagnose system behavior, resulting in significantly reduced fault localization time and improved diagnostic accuracy compared to traditional static analysis methods and reactive fault-response strategies. This framework aims for immediate commercialization in sectors reliant on robust and autonomous MARS deployments, such as industrial automation, disaster response, and space exploration.
