Modern unofficial toponymy of Vladikavkaz in the semantic-lexicographic aspect (regional status in the system of higher education)
The article considers the need for due attention to toponymy as one of the levels of the lexical system in the process of mastering the corpus of relevant scientific concepts and categories of the modern Russian language. It is stated that the formation of the competencies provided for by the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education in the process of studying the discipline “Modern Russian Language” at the university is impossible to the full extent, since the presented information does not fully correlate with the scientific understanding of lexical systematicity. The purpose of the article is to identify the main problems associated with the definition of the linguo-methodological status of unofficial toponyms in the content system of the relevant disciplines (modules) of modern university education, confirming the theoretical principles of lexical-semantic stratification of the research object at the level of lexicography. It is proved that in connection with the actualization of state attention to the preservation of traditional moral and ethical values of the Russian ethnos, the historical memory of the people, the study of the material presented in the article seems to be especially relevant in the course of studying the modern Russian language. In contrast to official names, unofficial regional toponyms more consistently demonstrate the desire to preserve the name as an orienting and more informative code of the city. Toponymic information of a regional nature is relevant both in terms of history and geography; at the same time, this knowledge is also a mechanism for studying a certain linguaculture, since regionalisms are nothing more than ethnic memory, embodying a traditional view of the world of today. The multifunctionality of regiolects and onomastic awareness in general motivate the legitimacy of the “presence” of toponymy as a separate scientific specialization in the course of studying the modern Russian language. Thus, it is possible that it is the interdisciplinary nature of toponymy, in particular regional toponymy, that has determined a number of problems, the solution of which will ensure the optimization of the course “Modern Russian Language” in terms of its theoretical content and contribute to the development of students’ competencies required by the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
