Enhancing Thermal Interface Material Conductivity via Vertically Aligned Carbon Nanotube Networks Embedded in Polyimide Matrices: A Multifaceted Evaluation and Optimization Framework
**Abstract:** This work presents a novel and rigorous approach to enhance the thermal conductivity of Polyimide (PI)-based thermal interface materials (TIMs) by incorporating vertically aligned carbon nanotube (VACNT) networks. Leveraging established methodologies in materials science and advanced simulation techniques, we detail a comprehensive evaluation and optimization framework focusing on CNT alignment quality, dispersion within the PI matrix, and interfacial thermal resistance reduction. The developed framework integrates multi-modal data analysis, a self-evaluating scoring system, and machine learning-assisted optimization to achieve unprecedented thermal conductivity improvements, potentially transforming heat dissipation in high-power electronics. Our methodology focuses on readily implementable techniques already in use across the electronics and materials engineering fields, enabling quick and seamless real-world integration.
