The present paper deals with formulation and evaluation of anti-diabetic activity of tablets prepared from aqueous extract of the selected plant. A solid pharmaceutical dosage formulation using a novel dry plant extract (tuberous roots) using various excipients viz., carbopol, ethylcellulose, MCC, dibasic calcium phosphate and PEG4000 by direct compression was reported to be statically significant as anti-diabetic activity.
