26. சமமதய சதசவததன பதனஙகளல பணணயசசநதன
Society is fundamentally shaped by the relationship between men and women. However, throughout history, men have exercised control over women in various forms. Since ancient times, women subjected to oppression have voiced their resistance, a struggle often reflected in literature. Discussions on feminism have been present from the Sangam period to the present day. This article seeks to explore the portrayal of feminism in society by examining themes such as female slavery, women’s education, marriage, remarriage, and the psychological dimensions of women’s experiences. The study draws on novels including Bidilnel, Senkadambu, Thakadoor Yathirai, Mauna Yathirai, Palankayiru, Ilavu Kadha Kiligal, Thirupam, Baingooz, and Ponmaram by Semmudai Sadasivam.
