In the national regions of the Russian Federation, an ethnocultural approach is an effective means of forming the personality of a child who shows interest in learning their native language and a desire to learn their culture. Using the example of preschool educational organizations (hereinafter referred to as DOE) in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, they show various ways of implementing this approach. The results of the study showed that if the ethnocultural characteristics of the region are purposefully included in the educational process and in the preschool development space, they contribute to the formation of a versatile personality of preschool children with a national identity and self-awareness, aware of the value of each culture in a multicultural world of landmarks. The ethnocultural approach gives preschool children the opportunity to master the culture of their people and the culture of other peoples inhabiting the multicultural Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, to reveal the bright originality of the cultures neighboring the republic, to find their internal essential similarities. The ethnocultural approach contributes to the maximum disclosure of their diverse potential.

Abstract

The authors of the article argue the importance of introducing preschool children to the traditions of their native land, the need to instill in them love for the Motherland, nature, and culture of their people at an early age.
