STUDY OF SOCIAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL DETERMINANTS OF THE ELDERLY IN ARMENIA WITH THE PURPOSE OF ORGANIZING THEIR DIFFERENTIATED SER-VICE

Abstract The article presents research on the socio-psychological determinants of older people and discusses measures needed to improve the social and psychological state of older people. In this article the measures necessary to improve the socio-psychological state of the elderly are considered. The article deals with the main issues and problems of aging, such as reduction of social ties, changes in interpersonal and family relationships, loneliness, issues of household support, that is, problems that have influence and impact on social activity. Particular attention is paid to increasing the targeting of social services for lonely elderly people. Attention is paid to the issues of social and psychological adaptation of elderly people, which is currently relevant for society as a whole. The importance of the practical application of the research results of gerontopsychology in the development of state programs on social support, social services, ensuring active longevity of the elderly is shown. The data of studies conducted both by the author and on her initiative are provided. Conclusions are drawn and recommendations are made for measures necessary to improve the social and psychological state of the elderly.
