Pharmacological and Therapeutic Potential of Centratherum anthelminticum: a Comprehensive Review

Centratherum anthelminticum [L] kuntze, another name for Vernoniaanthelmintice [L] Wild, is a plant species. An annul herb grow in the Astreaceae family. It’s native to tropical and sub tropical areas like India,Pakistan, Srilanka, and parts of Southeast Asia and Africa. The plant has been widely used un ancient hrealing practices like Ayurveda, Unani, and folk remedies due to it abilities to fight worm, control blood sugar reduce inflammation, prevent infectionsand treat skin conditions. Phytochemical studies revealed more then 193 substances , primarily consisting of sterols, terpenes such as sesquiterpene lactones, flavanoids including quercetin and kaempferol, phenolic acids like caffeic and ferukic acids, fatty acids like linoleic and oleic acids, and various other component. Preclinical research demonstrates numerous pharmacological proparties, like antioxidants, diabtes control infection prevention, inflammation reduction, cancer suppression, filarial treatment, liver health support brain protection and asthma relief, usually through crucial biological mechanism for defense and inhibition for immune regulation. Recent studies show that this treatment help people with PCOS kidney problems like diabties infection, and some types of cancer by making cell die more quickely and causing damage to their energy centers. Despite initial positive result from labrotry testes, animal studies, and early clinical trials, there’s still very littlke evidence of how well it works in humans, so more research needs to be done to understand if it can help people for feel better or work along side other medicines. combining old ideas with new science to help find new medicines in the future
