ROLE OF ENTODYNIMORPHA IN THE INTESTINAL MICROFLORA OF RUMINANTS

Abstract It has been established that rumen protozoa are strictly anaerobic and highly specialized ciliates that can only live in the rumen and similar habitats. These cilia play an important role in feed utilization and the environmental impact of ruminant livestock products. The rumen is a complex anaerobic digestive ecosystem, present in ruminants and plays an important role in the digestion and fermentation of ingested food, including starch, fiber content, etc.
