RANCANG BANGUN SOLAR DRYER DOME UNTUK PENGERINGAN IKAN BERBASIS IoT MENGGUNAKAN MIKROKONTROLER ESP8266 DAN APLIKASI BLYNK

A B S T R A C TDrying is one of the best fish processing methods inmaintaining and extending the preservation period of fishfrom causes of decay and damage to fish. However, this dryingprocess still has many limitations, especially in uncertainweather conditions such as cloudy, rainy, and carried out inopen areas that will result in contamination by dust, animalwaste, where this will slow down the fish drying process andaffect the quality of fish and public health. This research aimsto design and build a solar dryer dome equipped with Internetof Things (IoT) technology in providing a solution for the fishdrying process. This designed system uses a prototype designmethod approach that involves the design and developmentprocess of the fish drying system. This solar drying dome isdesigned with a roof that allows fish to be dried in a closedspace, this experimental setup combines a DHT22 temperaturesensor to monitor temperature and humidity, as well as anESP8266 microcontroller that is connected to the blynkapplication, with the tool control process carried out using asmartphone. The test results of this tool showed thatanchovies could experience 86% shrinkage within 7 hours, andtembang fish experienced 85% shrinkage within 9 hours, with atemperature range of 450C-800C.Keywords: ESP8266, DHT22 Sensor, Heater, Blynk Platform.

However, this dryingprocess still has many limitations, especially in uncertainweather conditions such as cloudy, rainy, and carried out inopen areas that will result in contamination by dust, animalwaste, where this will slow down the fish drying process andaffect the quality of fish and public health.
