Editorial: The Bulletin of BISMiS Reflection and the Road Ahead

The release of this edition of The Bulletin of BISMiS marks a long-awaited reconnection with our global community, following a pause since the last issue in 2018. Much has changed in these years, the world of science, and indeed the world itself. While the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted established patterns of collaboration and academic exchange, it also fostered new modes of engagement including online platforms, virtual conferences, and innovative outreach that brought our community closer despite physical distance. BISMiS adapted, launching initiatives such as BISMiS Live, which enabled the Society to reach and engage researchers across the globe in new ways.
