Formulation And Characterization Of Novel Topical Formulation
Introduction: -The systemic chemotherapy that is currently used to treat cancer frequently has major adverse effects and reduces patient compliance. The unique feature is termed as localised transdermal delivery which could be utilised for effectively delivering anticancer agents to treat breast cancer and reducing the systemic side effects by limiting their presence in blood high permeation vesicles (HPVs) using phospholipids and synergistic combination of permeation enhancers (SCOPE) to improve the skin permeation of drugs. Aim and objective: - Aim of present work is to design and develop high permeation vesicle mediated localize drug delivery of paclitaxel for treating breast cancer. Method: - High permeation vesicle (HPV) prepared by thin film hydration method using phospholipids (Soya lecithin) and (Sod.Oleate, Transcutol, PG) synergistic combination of permeation enhancers (SCOPE) to improve the skin permeation of drugs. Result and Discussion: - The optimize formulations were characterized for vesicle size was found to be below 300 nm and zeta potential was found 35 mV, entrapment efficiency was found to be in range of 82.5 to 95.6% and polydispersity index (PDI) by dynamic light scattering principle using zeta sizer nano ZS. Conclusion: - The prepared HPV formulation demonstrated a prolonged release profile, improved transdermal flux, and the capacity to reach deeper skin layers. Overall research revealed that the synergistic permeation enhancing activity of SCOPE, vesicle deformability, and SCOPE-induced improvement in vesicle membrane fluidity The components may be accountable for the increased transdermal permeability.
