RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM PENDETEKSI KEBOCORAN LIQUIFIELD PETROLEUM GAS BERBASIS IOT UNTUK KEAMANAN (STUDI KASUS BOARDING SCHOOL MAN 2 KOTA SERANG)

A B S T R A C TLiquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is widely used as a fuel becauseit is practical and efficient. However, it has the potential tocause fire hazards in the event of a leak. This researchproposes the creation of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based LPGleak detection system to enhance user safety. The system isbuilt using an MQ-2 sensor as the gas detector, a Wemos D1Mini microcontroller for data processing, along with a buzzer,LCD, and the Blynk application as warning media. When thegas concentration exceeds the safe limit, the systemautomatically activates an alarm, displays information on theLCD, and sends a notification to the user's smartphone. Thetype of research used is design and construction, whichincludes the stages of needs analysis, hardware and softwaredesign, implementation, and testing. The results show thatthe prototype can effectively detect LPG leaks and provideearly warnings, thereby minimizing the risk of accidents andlosses. Keywords: LPG Leak, IoT, MQ-2, Wemos D1 Mini, Design andConstruction.
