Hybrid Model of Speech Rehabilitation. The Synergy of Artificial Intelligence and Speech Therapy Methods.
This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the hybrid model of speech rehabilitation, which combines classic speech therapy methods with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. Traditional speech therapy, despite its fundamental importance, faces several challenges, including limited access to qualified specialists, diagnostic subjectivity, and insufficient intensity of therapeutic sessions. The development of AI technologies in speech recognition, content generation, and the creation of immersive environments opens new opportunities to overcome these barriers. The report details the synergistic effects that arise from combining the human expertise of a speech-language pathologist (SLP) with the computational power of AI. The hybrid model allows for the automation of routine tasks, such as initial diagnosis, data collection and analysis, and the provision of personalized and gamified practice, thereby freeing up the specialist's time for more complex and empathetic functions. The SLP, in turn, shifts from the role of a practitioner to that of a strategist, analyst, and mentor, capable of interpreting complex data, building trusting relationships with patients and their families, and applying clinical judgment to adjust the therapeutic process. The study shows that the integration of AI leads not just to increased efficiency but to a fundamental transformation of the speech therapy paradigm itself, allowing for the bridging of the "intensity gap" and the provision of continuous, daily practice, which is critically important for achieving sustainable results. At the same time, the report carefully analyzes the associated risks and ethical dilemmas, including issues of data privacy, algorithmic bias, and the need to preserve empathetic human contact. In conclusion, key findings are formulated and prospects for future development are outlined, including in the area of wearable devices and the concept of "digital twins," which underscores the evolving role of the SLP in a changing technological landscape.
