Entropy IDs, Coherence Cloning, and the Firewall Principle: A Thermodynamic Ontology of Entanglement

This work proposes a unifying ontology of quantum mechanics rooted in thermodynamics. Instead of treating entanglement and coherence as abstract algebraic structures, it reframes them as unique, non-reproducible “entropy IDs” inscribed in a universal ledger. This shift provides a physical rationale for why superposition, no-cloning, no-broadcasting, and no-signaling hold, and extends these constraints across scales—from laboratory interference experiments to the black hole information paradox. The significance is twofold. First, it clarifies well-known phenomena such as interference loss in singles, the conditional recovery of fringes, and the impossibility of faster-than-light signaling by grounding them in thermodynamic bookkeeping. Second, it opens new avenues for experimental and technological inquiry: testing whether entanglement IDs exhibit pump-level correlations, understanding the entropy barrier that limits multipartite entanglement, and reframing quantum error correction as ledger curation. By situating laboratory phenomena within the same conservation principles that govern black hole entropy and cosmological acceleration, this framework offers a coherent narrative that bridges quantum optics, quantum information, and gravitational thermodynamics. The work’s novelty lies not in new mathematics, but in revealing a common thermodynamic law of “ledger conservation” that connects domains often treated as disparate.
