Containerized Deployment of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator Using Docker and Kubernetes
In today’s digital economy, enterprises require scalable, secure, and efficient integration platforms to manage complex business-to-business (B2B) transactions. IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, a widely adopted solution for secure data exchange and process automation, faces deployment and operational challenges when implemented using traditional methods. This research paper explores the deployment of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator within Docker containerized environments, leveraging orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes to address scalability, automation, and compliance needs. The study identifies key challenges, including deployment complexity, limited scalability, and security concerns, and proposes solutions through containerization, orchestration, integration with supporting services, and CI/CD automation. Recommendations focus on best practices for standardized container images, robust orchestration with monitoring, and the adoption of DevOps principles. The findings highlight containerization as a transformative approach that enhances portability, reduces operational overhead, and enables enterprises to achieve resilient, future-ready B2B integration infrastructures.
