Influence of organic farming on the rhizosphere microbiome and root gene expression in common bean
Soil microorganisms play critical roles in crop health and yield. Organic farming has been increasingly adopted as a sustainable alternative toconventional methods, and previous studies have shown differences in the soil microbiota between these farming systems. In this study, we focus onthe root-associated microenvironment. Our aim is to assess the influence of organic farming on rhizosphere microbial diversity and root geneexpression in common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) compared to conventional. This work was presented as a poster at the 20th International Congress on Plant-Microorganism Molecular Interactions, (IS-MPMI Congress), celebrated in Cologne, Germany, on 13-17 July 2025.
