Data Stewardship in Everyday Research - Use Cases and Best Practices at HZDR
The HZDR cultivates a strategic, co-creative framework for managing research data and software — linking infrastructure, workflows, and cultural change to embed FAIR and open data into daily research practices.By aligning repositories, PID services, DMPs, facility data streams with both researchers’ needs and international initiatives, the center builds low‑threshold services, fosters interdisciplinary reuse, and embeds data stewardship into academic recognition and funding processes. The result: greater reproducibility, visibility, and long‑term value of research outputs while empowering teams to work openly and sustainably.
