THEORETICAL VIEWS ON THE OLD PERIOD OF HUMAN LIFE

This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of old age, the essence of biogenetic, sociogenetic and psychogenetic approaches and their role in the human life process. Also, the classifications of the stages of old age in Western psychology, the state policy on social protection of the elderly in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the resolutions of the President shed light on the social significance of old age. The article shows that old age is related not only to biological, but also to social and psychological factors.

Abstract
