A Blueprint for Operationalising Predictive Lead Scoring
This report details a blueprint for implementing a predictive lead scoring system, emphasising a holistic approach encompassing technical rigour, ethical considerations, and strategic deployment. The methodology begins with data preparation, focusing on cleaning and transforming raw business data into a model-ready format. A logistic regression model is chosen for its interpretability and transparency, facilitating trust and enabling effective debugging. The model is rigorously trained and evaluated, achieving high accuracy in distinguishing between converting and non-converting leads. However, the report stresses the importance of ongoing monitoring and retraining to account for potential model drift and maintain accuracy over time. Ethical considerations are central, with a strong emphasis on building a fair and consistent system through model persistence and establishing human-in-the-loop feedback mechanisms. Finally, the report demonstrates how to operationalise the model by translating probability scores into actionable priority levels, seamlessly integrating the system into existing CRM workflows and reallocating sales resources based on data-driven insights. This integrated approach, encompassing data processing, ethical principles, and strategic decision-making, positions predictive analytics as a core component of operational efficiency and sustained business growth.
