Novel 2D Materials for Photovoltaic and Photocatalytic Applications
This article reviews recent advances in novel two-dimensional (2D) materials for photovoltaic and photocatalytic applications. It discusses transition metal dichalcogenides, MXenes, g-C₃N₄, and hybrid perovskites, highlighting their structural, electronic, and optical properties for solar energy conversion and hydrogen production. Challenges such as stability, charge recombination, and scalability are addressed, along with emerging strategies like heterostructure engineering and defect control.
