Digitalization as a factor in shapingthe inclusivity of financial services

Relevance of the research topic is determined by the crucial role of digitalization in shaping the inclusiveness of financial services, which facilitates access to financial resources for all segments of the population and enhances their economic activity. In the context of rapid technological advancement, growing digital inequality, insufficient financial literacy, and cyber risks, Ukraine faces challenges that hinder the full realization of the potential of financial inclusion. Nevertheless, digitalization offers significant opportunities to overcome socio–economic barriers, develop innovative financial products, and strengthen financial stability, making the study of this process relevant both for researchers and financial market practitioners. The aim of the work is to substantiate the necessity of deepening the inclusiveness of financial services as an intermediate stage in achieving financial inclusion of society.Research objectives. The research objectives consist in characterizing financial services considering their transformation under the influence of digitalization; identifying financial inclusion and financial services inclusiveness; determining the manifestations of financial services inclusiveness in the macroeconomic context; and comparing financial inclusion and financial services inclusiveness as components of the digitalization process of society.Research methods. Systematization, induction, deduction, tabular method, logical method, scientific abstraction.Main research findings. During the study, the issues of the impact of digitalization on the inclusiveness of financial services in Ukraine were analyzed, focusing on the challenges faced by consumers and providers of financial services. The advantages and disadvantages of the digital transformation of the financial market were described, as well as the mechanism of changing service characteristics under the influence of digitalization. A hierarchical process of forming financial inclusion was identified – from technological inclusion to the inclusiveness of financial services and ultimately to societal financial inclusion – and the necessity of considering the population’s needs, infrastructure development, and diversification of the financial market for its advancement was substantiated. The conclusion was drawn about the need to deepen the inclusiveness of financial services as an intermediate stage to achieve a sufficient level of financial inclusion in society.Field of application of the results. Financial sector, public administration.
