Performance Characteristics of Jump Forces and Core Stability in Professional Female Lacrosse Athletes
This study sought to establish normative data in jumping force production and core stability for professional women’s lacrosse athletes and assess possible differences in performance metrics between position groups. Drop jump and single-leg jump force production was measured using VALD force plates. Participants completed two Bunkie test positions, a functional performance test consisting of different plank positions held bilaterally. Statistical comparisons completed with Kruskal–Wallis tests found no significant differences between position groups. Despite the small sample size, metrics gathered allowed for baseline data to be established for the professional women’s lacrosse population.
