A study on domestic residents’ experiential tourism in Jeju Island: Focusing on social big data analysis
This study aims to understand the types and perceptions of Jeju Island experiential tourism through big data analysis. To achieve the purpose of the study, “Jeju Island experiential tourism” was selected as a keyword, and 'Textom' was used. Over a period of three years, from January 20, 2022, to January 19, 2025, 100 keywords were analyzed using word frequency analysis and TF-IDF analysis, based on data collected from Naver, Daum, and Google. As a result of the analysis, in order of frequency, the top six keywords were identified as tourist destinations, courses, recommendations, horseback riding, children, and tangerines. Through CONCOR analysis, four patterns were derived: 'dynamic experiential tourism', 'static experiential tourism', 'policy and support', and 'experience content development'. The sentiment analysis revealed positive words were prevelant. These results are expected to provide basic data for establishing policies related to experiential tourism in Jeju Island.
