The Orbital Curvature Principle: Rotation, Curvature, and Moons

The Orbital Curvature Principle (OCP) proposes a simple law: no rotation, no moons. Stable satellites require their host’s rotation to extend curvature into an orbital domain; without spin (or with near-zero spin), curvature collapses inward and no moons can persist. This framework complements Newton’s gravity as force and Einstein’s gravity as curvature by introducing rotation within a structured medium as the missing mechanism behind orbital stability. The OCP explains why Mercury and Venus lack moons while rotating asteroids can host them, and predicts that no truly non-rotating body will ever be found with a natural satellite. The case of Uranus provides striking reinforcement: despite its 98° axial tilt, all its major moons remain aligned with its rotation. Such coherence is improbable without a structured medium, but emerges naturally under the OCP.
