Frame-Cached Interlink (FCI): Dual-GPU Rendering & Upscaling Pipeline
Frame-Cached Interlink (FCI) is a custom dual-GPU rendering and upscaling pipeline designed to extend the life of older hardware while improving gaming performance and visual fidelity. By splitting the rendering and upscaling/presentation process between two GPUs — even cross-vendor — FCI allows modern games to run at reduced native resolution while still presenting high-quality output at 4K or higher. This white paper outlines two implementation paths: an anti-cheat-safe GPU-to-GPU path and an optional RAM-disk-enhanced path for non-protected games.
