Transition towards zero-emission construction sites – The role of blockchain, resource sharing modes and planning coordination
Electrifying construction sites requires not only technical innovation but also new forms of coordination, access and trust. This paper examines how niche and regime actors frame key operational dimensions – blockchain technologies, resource sharing modes and planning coordination – in the transition to zero-emission construction. Combining the Multi-Level Perspective with Framing Theory, we identify two emerging pathways: a production machinery-led and a platform-led model, each reflecting distinct governance logics and actor motivations.
