A Study on the Effect of Performance Management on Job Satisfaction at Service Industry
Abstract Performance management and job satisfaction are two critical dimensions that significantly influence organizational success and employee well-being. Performance management encompasses the systematic process through which an organization involves its employees in improving organizational effectiveness by setting expectations, monitoring progress, and providing continuous feedback. When effectively implemented, it not only enhances productivity but also aligns individual objectives with broader organizational goals. The organizations of these days are not bothering about the appraisal but they are bothering about the standard performance. They are not going to deal with those employees whom performance is not up to marks. But they are dealing with how to enhance the performance more than the standard. How to create synergy at works is the main goal of performance management. Organizations do not have time to wait for the corrective actions for the improvement but they are interested to create surplus with the best quality within the specified time. This study aims to explore the relationship between performance management practices and job satisfaction, analyzing how strategic alignment, performance evaluation methods, and feedback mechanisms contribute to employee contentment and retention. Understanding this relationship is vital for organizations seeking to enhance employee morale and drive sustainable performance.
