Entorno Virtual de Enseñanza-Aprendizaje para el Corredor Biológico en el Caribe

The Biological Corridor initiative in the Caribbean is developing tools and services for knowledge management that respond to cooperation indicators on a trinational platform to extend the impact of biodiversity conservation. This has led to the need to train participants and create a space for exchanging their experiences. The objective of the research was to develop a virtual teaching-learning environment for the Biological Corridor in the Caribbean, with a constructivist learning model and a linear classroom visual scheme, to contribute to distance professional training using new technologies in the institutional and social community of interest to the initiative, adapted to current times. The authors conducted a descriptive research with a quantitative-qualitative approach in 2021. As a result, a virtual environment was implemented using the Moodle platform version 3.11.5 to facilitate knowledge management and comprehensive training processes through the use of information and communication technologies. This study will also help reduce cognitive gaps in scientific research for future actions of the Biological Corridor in the Caribbean.
