Inostrancevia Amalitzky 1922

Inostrancevia Amalitzky, 1922 Diagnosis: Inostrancevia is diagnosed by the pineal foramen located in a trough-like depression at the posterior edge of the parietal; absence of preparietal; the constriction of the jugal below the orbit; mediolaterally compressed teeth with mesial and distal serrations; the absence of lower postcanines; the presence of only four upper incisors; an extremely large facial contribution of the jugal; the presence of a broadly depressed region on the facial surfaces of the jugal and lacrimal; the absence of palatal dentition; the presence of a short, tab-like ventral parasphenoid blade; and the presence of the vomer-pterygoid contact in ventral view (Amalitzky, 1922; Kammerer et al., 2023).
