A System and Method for Geometrodynamic State-Mapping and Haptic Guidance on a High-Dimensional Manifold
Abstract The present invention discloses a system and method for the dynamic modeling and real-time guidance of a user or system. The system comprises a sensor suite for acquiring multi-modal data, a data processing unit, and a sensory feedback module. The method involves receiving sensor data indicative of a user's kinematic, physiological, and contextual state; constructing a state vector representing the user's instantaneous state on a pre-defined, 11-dimensional, non-Euclidean manifold, herein termed the General Reality Manifold (GRM); computing an optimal trajectory, or geodesic, on said manifold from the user's current state to a target state; and generating real-time sensory guidance signals, preferably haptic, to direct the user's state evolution along the calculated geodesic. The invention may be embodied as a software application on a mobile computing device utilizing its native sensors, or as a system comprising a mobile device and a hardware accessory with advanced, proprietary sensors and high-fidelity haptic actuators.
