Optimizing Ground-Mounted Solar Panel Truss Structures via Topology Optimization and Finite Element Analysis for Seismic Resilience

**Abstract:** This research investigates a novel approach to designing ground-mounted solar panel truss structures optimized for seismic resilience. Leveraging topology optimization and finite element analysis (FEA), we explore varying truss geometries under simulated seismic loading conditions. The goal is to minimize structural weight while maintaining adequate stiffness and strength to withstand earthquake forces, thereby reducing material costs and improving the long-term stability of solar panel installations in seismically active regions. Through iterative optimization and validation, a new truss design concept demonstrating a 15% weight reduction and a 10% increase in lateral stiffness compared to conventional designs is proposed. This approach directly addresses the critical need for robust, cost-effective, and scalable solar energy infrastructure in earthquake-prone zones.
