Guest editors Remo Verdickt, Pieter Vermeulen, and Gianna Zocco introduce “European Baldwins,” a special issue and the eleventh volume of James Baldwin Review . In this introduction, the guest editors recount recent mobilizations and celebrations of Baldwin’s work all over Europe, survey comparative paradigms applicable to Baldwin’s transnational career, consider key Baldwin texts that inform contemporary European discourse, and touch on the contributions to the special issue.
