IMPROVING THE PERFORMANCE OF POWER DETECTION SYSTEM USING NEURO-FUZZY BASED SUPER CAPACITOR

The accuracy and reliability of power detection systems are critical for efficient monitoring, fault diagnosis, and control in modern electrical networks. Traditional power detection methods often face challenges such as slow response time, poor adaptability to non-linear system behaviors, and energy storage inefficiencies. This study proposes an advanced approach to improving the performance of power detection systems through the integration of a Neuro-Fuzzy based Super capacitor. The hybrid intelligent system combines the learning capabilities of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) with the human-like reasoning of Fuzzy Logic to enhance decision-making accuracy and system responsiveness. The super capacitor serves as a high-efficiency energy storage device, offering rapid charge-discharge capabilities essential for transient power detection and compensation. By embedding the Neuro-Fuzzy controller, the system intelligently adapts to dynamic power variations, filters noise, and improves real-time detection of power anomalies. Simulation results demonstrate a significant improvement in detection precision, system stability, and energy efficiency compared to conventional methods. This study concludes that the Neuro-Fuzzy based Super capacitor model provides a robust and adaptive framework for next-generation power detection systems, ensuring high reliability, rapid responsiveness, and intelligent control for smart grid applications. The conventional Low Detection Accuracy that caused poor performance of power detection system was 80%. On the other hand, when NEURO-FUZZY based super capacitor was incorporated into the system, it drastically reduced to 69.4% and the conventional Limited Data Processing Speed that caused poor performance of power detection system was 506 ms. Meanwhile, when NEURO-FUZZY based super capacitor was integrated into the system, it simultaneously reduced to 437 ms. Finally, the percentage improvement in the performance of power detection system when NEURO-FUZZY based super capacitor was imbibed into the system was 13.7%.
