The text tells about the first explorers of maritime southern Dobrudja in modern times and their observations of the region in the period of the second half of the 19th century. Four narratives of the area are used, those of Felix Kanitz, Constantine Irechek, the Shkorpil brothers (Karel and Hermengild), Todor Mumdzhiev.
