Phytogenic Evaluation of Biofabricated Zinc Nanoparticles from Psidium guajava Leaf Extract with Anti-Inflammatory and Antimicrobial Effects on Oral Pathogens

Guava plants ( Psidium Guajava) is a fruit plant that springing from the parts of South A Guava merica and can prosper in the land of India. The largest hotspot of guava cultivation is found in the regions of Uttar Pradesh ( Pryagraj-Varanasi region) , Madhya Pradesh (Bundelkhand-the grid zone regions) , Bihar (Nalanda), Tamil nadu (coimbatore and Dindigul), Maharastra ( Pune-Bhandara district) . Complementary to taking the fruit traditionally, Guava leaves are used for the therapeutic purposes against inflammation effects as well as the microbial effects on the the Oral pathogens . The study is designed to analyze the biologically active compounds in guava leaves , Several secondary metabolites including flavonoids , alkaloids , tannins , essential oils that exhibits anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties . The extraction of guava leaves was carried out with water as the solvent followed by phytochemical analysis , in-vitro anti-inflammatory activity by using protein denaturation assay and in-vitro anti-microbial activity by using aqueous extract and ZnNP against the test bacteria S-mutans and E-faecalis to dectect the presence and results of the bioactive compond. The results demonstrated that both aqueous extractand ZnNP exhibits significant anti-inflammatory and notable anti-microbial activity against the test pathogens.
