Perancangan Reaktor Gasifikasi Biomassa Sebagai Tungku Pembakaran Alat Pengering Berbahan Bakar Kayu Kesambi
Gasification is a technology for converting solid biomass into gas using a gasifier and is capable of burning (CO, CH4, H2) through combustion or gasification with an air supply of 11.41 m/s. The aim of this research is to determine the design of a post-harvest agricultural product dryer using a gasification reactor as a kesambi wood-fueled combustion furnace regarding combustion temperature, initial ignition time and effective ignition time in a downdraft gasification furnace. The research was carried out by varying the weight of the fuel, namely 10 kg, 12 kg and 15 kg. Then take data including combustion temperature and gas released. The results of the research showed variations in kesambi wood fuel with the highest temperature of 607.3 0c, whereas during the gasification process the initial weight of 10 kg kesambi wood decreased to 8.9 kg, 12 kg decreased to 10.6 kg and 15 kg decreased to 13.2 kg. From the results of each test, it can be concluded that the gas produced in each combustion is very dependent on the amount of fuel to be gasifier
