Analisis Kinerja Pompa Regeneratif Tunggal dan Paralel

One important aspect of fluid machines engineering that is related to the use of electrical energy to achieve useful functions and has been widely used in industry and households is the regenerative pump. This pump can produce a high head with a relatively small discharge. This experimental study aims to analyze the effect of discharge variations on the performance of single and parallel regenerative pumps. Tests were carried out on two regenerative pumps with the same specifications at varying discharges, starting from the minimum flow to the maximum that can be achieved by the pump. The test results show that the construction of the piping system greatly influences the performance of the regenerative pump which is operated as a single pump whereas the flow rate increases, the total head, hydraulic power and pump efficiency will tend to decrease, and vice versa. The pump shaft power tends to remain constant even though the flow rate increases. In parallel operation, an increase in flow rate will result in a decrease in total head, hydraulic power, shaft power and pump efficiency, and vice versa. Increasing the flow rate to double will result in different total head, hydraulic power, shaft power and pump efficiency for each pump
