Dual Axis Solar Tracking Model
Harnessing solar energy efficiently is key to meeting the growing demand for renewable energy. This project focuses on designing and building a dual-axis solar tracker that can significantly improve the energy output of solar panels. Unlike fixed panels, this system can move in two directions horizontally and vertically allowing it to follow the sun's movement throughout the day. Using light-dependent resistors (LDRs) as sunlight sensors, the tracker adjusts its position to ensure the solar panel is always at the best angle to capture sunlight. Tests show that this dual-axis tracker boosts energy generation by 35% to 40% compared to fixed panels. This work highlights how smart tracking systems can play a crucial role in making solar power more efficient and accessible for a sustainable future.
