Control and Optimization of a Seasonal Bass Diffusion-Based Inventory Model with Carbon Cost.
This Research paper proposes a deterministic inventory model combining the Seasonal Modified BassDiffusion Process (SMBDP) with sustainability-focused costs. The model captures both innovation-drivenadoption and seasonal demand fluctuations. Costs include ordering, holding, and carbon emissions, makingit suitable for green supply chains. Using analytical and numerical methods, the study identifies optimalreplenishment cycles and shows that aligning with seasonal peaks lowers both costs and carbon footprint. The model is especially useful for short life-cycle industries like electronics, fashion, and consumer goods.
