Galactic Rotation Anomalies: A Model-Free Analysis Using the SPARC Database
This study presents a model-free, parameter-free analysis of galactic rotation curve anomalies using the SPARC database (175 galaxies, 3392 data points). We define an anomaly metric ∆Qv = ln(Vobs/Vbar) and analyze its behavior across radial bands, galactic scale, and morphology. Results reveal auniversalpositive anomaly, scaleandmorphologydependence, andpersistence beyond the baryonic disk, challenging both ΛCDM and MOND frameworks
