Healthy Kindergarten Friends: A Collaborative Approach to Health Counseling and Disease Prevention in Early Childhood

This community service activity aims to improve healthy lifestyle behaviors among early childhood at RA Miftahussalam in Simalungun Regency. The intervention involved interactive education through singing the song "I am a Healthy Child," health promotion games, and practical demonstrations of clean and healthy living behaviors, such as proper handwashing. The participants were children aged 4–6 years and their teachers. Data were collected through observation, pre- and post-training tests, and interviews. Results showed a significant increase in children's awareness and practice of healthy behaviors, as well as improved teacher capacity to integrate health education into daily learning. The program was well received and demonstrated potential for sustainability if integrated into the school curriculum and supported by local health authorities. Limitations included restricted facilities and limited time for follow-up activities. This effort contributes to early prevention of health problems and promotion of lifelong healthy habits in children.
