Fragmentarism of Contradiction (Conflictualism). Four Illusions of Philosophy. The Absolute is an Illusion, Contradiction is the Breath of Being.
Fragmentarism of Contradiction (Conflictualism) – a philosophical framework that rejects absolutes such as truth, meaning, freedom, and existence, treating them as illusions. Instead, it sees reality as a mosaic of fragments, bound and animated by contradiction. Contradiction is not an error or a tragedy, but the “breath of being” the source of thought, choice, and life itself. This essay explores four of philosophy’s timeless pursuits truth, meaning, freedom, and existence and argues that they are not absolutes but illusions. Instead of seeking a final foundation, it proposes a philosophy of fragments, where contradiction is not an error to be solved but the very breath of being. Drawing on classical and modern thinkers while grounding the argument in everyday examples, the text shows how contradiction animates reflection, choice, and life itself. Far from closing the question, it embraces the endless tension of opposites as the source of thought and existence.
