grplot: A Python Library for Lazy Statistical Data Visualization
Creating insightful visualizations in Python often requires verbose configuration. Matplotlib and Seaborn are robust but can demand substantial boilerplate forpublication-quality figures. grplot is an open-source library for “lazy” statistical plotting that composes complete figures—labels, legends, grids, and exports—in asingle call. It offers a unified plot2d API spanning common and specialized charts, plus domain utilities (e.g., cohort and rank-order analysis). This paper presentsgrplot’s design, features, installation, and examples—including dashboard-like multi-panel layouts using Nx/Ny—to reduce cognitive load and code volume whilepreserving flexibility.
