THE STRUCTURE OF THE ECONOMY OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS AND TRENDS IN ITS INVESTMENT AND STRUCTURAL RECONSTRUCTION

Abstract The article examines the trends of investment and structural restructuring of the economy of the Republic of Belarus in 2021–2024. Based on statistical data and official program documents, an analysis of the dynamics of the sectoral structure of GDP, investments in fixed assets and indicators of the development of the digital economy was carried out. Particular attention is paid to assessing the implementation of the targets of the State Program for Innovative Development for 2021–2025. The strengths of the innovation and investment process were identified, including exceeding planned targets for product innovations and export of high-tech products, and problem areas were identified - the slow pace of implementation of process innovations and the low share of investment in digital technologies. Conclusions were made about the need to improve mechanisms to support technological modernization, expand funding for digital clusters and develop human resources for the innovation sector.
