This qualitative study explored the lived personal experiences of elementary teachers in Panabo South District 1 as they undertook the practice of literacy and numeracy in elementary schools. The study engaged phenomenological methods to gather in-depth narratives that revealed the realities of teachers in their daily instructional activities. The research highlighted the struggles that teachers faced, including a lack of resources, diverse learning patterns among students, and curriculum demands that often did not align with the individual growth of learners. It also captured the strategies and coping mechanisms used by the teachers to remain effective in delivering literacy and numeracy lessons, such as innovative teaching methods, teamwork, and professional development. Emotional and motivational aspects were examined, along with how teachers managed feelings of fulfillment, frustration, and resilience throughout their instructional journey. The findings provided important insights into how personal and contextual experiences informed teaching practices and influenced student learning outcomes. The research held practical implications for educational policymakers, school administrators, and training programs aimed at enhancing literacy and numeracy instruction in elementary schools.
